The purpose of Life
We all agree that everything around us in this universe has a purpose, so it makes more sense that our existence has a purpose on this earth.
Islam defines that God Almighty created the human being to be His successor on this earth,
" And recall when your lord said to the angels, "I am appointing a viceroy in the earth." Holy Quran chapter 2 verse 30
Islam answers the most important question we all ask, why I'm here?!
God Almighty honored the human race, God didn't create us to eat, drink, and multiply, that's the animal life.
Our purpose is to be God's viceroy and our duty to achieve this purpose is by:-
-Worshiping God Almighty alone and directly as He said upon His prophets.
-Developing the earth, "O my people, worship Allah (God); you have no god other than Him; He initiated you from the earth and assigned you to develop it" Holy Quran chapter 11 verse 61
-Establishing justice and preventing injustice, "And We certainly sent our messengers with evident proofs, and We sent down with them the Scripture and the Balance, that mankind may uphold justice" Holy Quran chapter 57 verse 25
Therefore, God Almighty gave the human everything he needed to fulfill his purpose, for example: - God gave him a limitless intellect to learn, invent, and explore, and God gave him marriage to establish a family to love and care for during this journey, and also God gave him the laws in the Scripture that will protect the rights of every individual and build a strong and ethical community.
The most important one is that God Almighty gave humans Freedom, the ability to choose and decide even in their beliefs, one can choose either to follow God's way or to follow his whims and desires.
Now, we can conclude that Adam wasn't created to be in Heaven, rather he was created in Heaven to learn what will happen when he follows God's way and what will happen if he follows Satan's way, Adam's short life in Heaven was a small test to be prepared for the big test "our life on earth", Adam made a choice in Heaven and learned from it, God Almighty taught Adam how to ask Him for forgiveness and sent him to earth to start his purpose as a Successor of God Almighty on earth, “Thereupon Adam received words from his Lord, Thus, He granted him repentance and accepted it from him. Indeed, it is He who is the Superb Granter and Accepter of repentance, the Bestower of mercy.” Holy Quran chapter 2 verse 37
Islam doesn't believe in the original sin, Islam baizes on The Original Goodness, which is the ability to learn, develop, and get closer to God.
The prize:-
After passing our journey here on Earth, will come the prize of our efforts, the reward of our choices in this life," indeed, those who have attained faith and have done righteous deeds for them are the Gardens of Bliss, abiding therein, a true promise of Allah (God), and He is The Almighty, and The All-wise".
